The Cornish coastline is rugged, windswept and often inhospitable. The Celtic saints often deliberately chose to live in such places which they considered, 'the edge of the world' and 'thin places' spiritually. I can see why. It is easy to pray and to worship out on the cliffs overlooking the wide expanse of the sea, with the huge skyscapes spread out above.
